Collection: CARRIE GERACI

Carrie Geraci has been showing art in Jackson, Wyoming since 1995. Her plein air paintings are made primarily using soft, Sennelier pastels.  Her studio practice includes oils and acrylics.

Geraci earned a BA in visual arts from Brown University where she also studied printmaking and photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. While at Brown Geraci spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy,  practicing sculpture, photography, and drawing and the rich art history of the region.

Carrie has taught art at the Portsmouth Abbey summer school, Snake River Institute, and the JH Community School.

Carrie is currently the executive director of JH Public Art, a non-profit she founded in 2010. SIn 2020, she returned to her art practice with a deep appreciation of the artistic process. She works intuitively seeking surprising juxtapositions of color as she develops a unique language of mark making. "When I am open to unexpected moments of serendipity, breakthroughs happen."
